Effect of Water Environment on Fatigue Behavior in X80 High Strength Steel CO2 Arc Welding Welded Joint

چکیده
Fatigue life tests and fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in the air water environment were conducted on X80 pipeline steel welded joints (welded by CO2 arc welding). Scanning electron microscope (SEM) backscatter diffraction (EBSD) utilized to investigate internal influential mechanisms of during initiation propagation stages, respectively. Results show that a great many oxide particles induced gradually formed site decreased joints. Meanwhile, preferred grain orientation <001>//ND CSL boundaries Σ3, Σ11, Σ13c, Σ17b, Σ25a, Σ25b are both prone when loading environment. In addition, coalescence stress intensity factor (SIF) range accelerated FCGR motivating secondary slip systems {112}<111> {123}<111> bcc crystalline structures.

متن کاملThe Influence of Ultrasonic Impact Treatment on Fatigue Behaviour of Welded Joints in High-strength Steel
The unabated growth of the steel industry and progressively increasing operating loads on metal structures generate a need for a search for optimum engineering solutions to improve the loadcarrying capacity and reduce metal consumption. One way of resolving this problem is to utilise high-strength steels. It is common knowledge however that the improvement of the steel strength is accompanied b...
متن کاملBlue-light hazard from CO2 arc welding of mild steel.
OBJECTIVES The objective was to quantify the blue-light hazard from CO(2) arc welding of mild steel. METHODS The spectral radiance of arcs in CO(2) arc welding of mild steel was measured for solid and flux-cored wires at welding currents of 120-480 A. Effective blue-light radiance and the maximum acceptable exposure duration were calculated from the spectral radiance using their definitions i...

Studying the effect of notch on the fatigue behavior of structural materials is of significance for the reliability and safety designing of engineering structural components. In this work, we conducted notch fatigue experiments of two high-strength materials, i.e. a Ti32.8Zr30.2Ni5.3Cu9Be22.7 metallic glass (MG) and a 00Ni18Co15Mo8Ti ultra-high strength steel (CM400 UHSS), and compared their no...
